Wang Xi-Zhi was wrote a preface for the collection of 41 literature writings. This magnificent piece of semi-cursive script later became known as Lanting Xu (Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion). Since Wang's authentic handwriting was carried into the tomb by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, all the circulating copies up to now are either tracing copies or even rubbings. Among all the copies, Feng Cheng-Su's version, known as the "Half Dragon Stamp Copy", is believed to be the closest to Wang's authentic handwriting and therefore the most widely acknowledged. Therefore, our copybook has adopted Feng's version.
